The essence of the monetary system

International currency relations are a combination of public relations that take shape during the functioning of the currency in the world economy and serve the mutual exchange of the results of the activities of national farms. International monetary relations are mediated by international economic relations, which relate both to the sphere of material production, (i.e. primary production relations), and to the sphere of distribution, exchange, consumption. There is a reverse and direct connection between currency relations and reproduction. Their objective basis is the process of social reproduction, which gives rise to international exchange of goods, capital, services. The state of foreign exchange relations depends on the development of the economy – the national and world, political situation, relations between countries and trends inherent in international relations – partnership and contradictions.

International monetary relations have gradually acquired certain forms of organization based on the internationalization of economic relations. Currency system is a form of organization and regulation of foreign exchange relations, enshrined in national legislation or interstate agreements.
